Workers call on influencers to complain about people not working

After an influential TikToker made a video criticizing BeReal users for taking a selfie in bed, one user hit back, calling the shoot "disjointed."

In their video, user @dreamybitch111 shares a response to the idea that relaxation means someone isn't working hard or being productive.

"I'm finally relaxing after a long shift, and I had to repeat it five times this week just to barely pay the rent and pay the bills," a text overlay on the video reads. "This influencer is on vacation for the eighth time this year."

This continued in a TikTok clip originally posted by influencer @taraswrld, in which she criticized users of photo-sharing app BeReal, asking its users if they had jobs, as she saw many of them taking pictures bed.

"Every time BeReal leaves, there's an amazing amount of people in bed wearing sunglasses and it makes me feel really good about myself," @taraswrld said in the video. "I thought, why are you in bed? It seems like these days. Nobody wants to work. Get up and get to work.”

Some viewers criticized @taraswrld's views on work and productivity.

"I first found her account where she did back-to-back cruises," one commenter wrote. "Like she's funny, but I wouldn't say she's hardworking."

Another commenter wrote: "She is so out of touch, and every time she tries to explain herself, it further proves."

"The truth is that it came from her!" wrote one commenter. "She made it sound like it was hard work driving around looking for food and shopping."

The Daily Dot has reached out to @dreamybitch111 via Instagram direct message and @taraswrld via email about the video.
