SEO and Social Sites

Here are a few of my favorite social sites to help promote your online presence. The first is Naymz. This is a good site to make contacts, expand your exposure and reputation management. The next is LindedIn. A great site for increased exposure and if you are willing to work- a great source for making additional contacts to help build your business. Another one is Amazon . It's a great place to review books, build community and work on reputation management. How about Facebook -not just for kids! Don't forget about the power of YouTube -a great tool for reputation management and SEO search results. Enjoy! Steve Mertz Denver SEO Speaker

Domain Names and SEO

Conversely, if my domain name were Steve Mertz I could be all over the board in my writing. The most important thing to remember is to use keyword rich titles in your blog posts and support those titles with unique content that actually use...

I'm not in that camp but Google AdWords can be a useful tool while you are working on your organic search results. The New York Times recently had an article talking about marketers honing the focus of search ads. They were interviewing Jessica Jensen of the site Low Impact Living. She says she has not cut back spending on search advertising and says: "I can't stop advertising, so instead I'm spending every dollar and dime efficiently." She mentions that during last year's holidays, she marketed products such as energy-efficient LED lighting fixtures. This year she's all about products that help cut utility bills-seems to me like we are talking about similar items. While AdWords do allow you to turn on a dime a refocus your marketing efforts; it appears that a good SEO campaign could also help her efforts. At ...
